Field Service Engineer
Role Overview
Responsible for properly supporting the accounts in their area, by providing the hardware/software maintenance of products and/or associated peripheral equipment. Major responsibilities center on ensuring customer satisfaction and actively promoting all Field Service offerings. Understands HIPAA privacy issues and how it applies to his or her job in dealing with x-ray film and working inside a medical facility. The Senior Field Service Engineer prepares his / her own schedule with little no guidance from management.

Role Requirements
Maintains regular communications with Service Contract accounts
Responsible for the installation of assigned products
Performs preventive maintenance and repair functions on assigned equipment
Responsible for accurate parts inventory control, ordering and returning repairable spare parts components
Ensures the service ready condition of service aids, tools and diagnostics
Promotes all Field Service offerings
Perform after hour’s on-call service as scheduled
Installs engineering changes and/or software upgrades as required for the Contract Customers assigned
Person Specifications
Must possess a minimum of an Associate’s degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent experience.
Must have a minimum of five years of experience in medical image technology in a field service environment
Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills. Requires strong interpersonal skills necessary to direct and support third party service technicians
Must have effective customer service skills to negotiate satisfactory resolution to end-users at multiple levels (technicians, radiologists, physicists, and management)
Must have excellent photochemical, electromechanical, computer, and troubleshooting skills
Must be computer literate, have excellent understanding of DOS and Windows operating systems
Good organizational skills needed to handle multiple tasks with varying timetables
Demonstrated team building credentials and willingness to share expertise
Demonstrated computer literacy
Ability to network internally/externally to resolve technical issues
Able to work non-traditional work schedules involving late nights and occasional weekends
Travel required – minimum 60%
Package
Pay: $80,000 – $120,000 per year
