Field Service Engineer
Role Overview
Join a leading life sciences organisation as a Regional Field Service Engineer, supporting customers across London, the South East, the Thames Valley, and surrounding Home Counties. You will take ownership of the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance of advanced laboratory instrumentation used within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academic, research, and healthcare environments.

Role Requirements
Manage planned preventative maintenance, servicing, and breakdown repair activities across a portfolio of laboratory instrumentation.
Install, commission, and validate new systems, ensuring equipment performs in line with customer and manufacturer requirements.
Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and software faults to maximise system uptime and laboratory productivity.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to customers across pharmaceutical, biotech, research, academic, and healthcare laboratories.
Maintain accurate service documentation, manage spare parts inventory, and effectively coordinate service activities across the region.
Build strong customer relationships by acting as a trusted technical specialist and delivering consistently high levels of service.
Person Specifications
Previous Field Service Engineer experience within Life Sciences, Laboratory Equipment, Diagnostics or Medical Devices preferred.
Engineers from military or other technical field service backgrounds with strong fault-finding skills will also be considered.
Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
Comfortable working independently across a regional territory.
Flexible, organised and professional approach.
Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting ability.
Full UK Driving Licence.

£44,000 – £48,000 basic salary
7% annual bonus
