Role Requirements
As a Field Support Engineer, you will:
– Journey to the field, with regular trips to our Newmarket office.
– Collaborate closely with the Service Manager and Service Admin, providing expert technical support, performing installations, repairs, and planned maintenance for equipment within your territory.
– Team up with the Service Manager to deliver world-class installation and training on new chromatography equipment in the South UK.
– Partner with the BDM (Chromatography) to offer application and after-sales support throughout the UK.
– You may occasionally be called upon to travel throughout the UK, wherever your skills are needed most.
– Attend product application and service training courses, both on home soil and across the globe.
– Collaborate with local territory sales specialists to ensure you achieve the pinnacle of customer satisfaction.
– Take on the task of maintaining demo equipment at the Newmarket HQ.
– Be an active participant in all team meetings and provide unwavering support to our business.
– Forge strong, supportive relationships with the UK Service, BD, and Finance teams, ensuring that the company not only delivers exceptional products but also the world-class service synonymous with the brand.
Person Specifications
The one we’re searching for should possess:
– The ability to commute to our office in Newmarket on a monthly basis.
– A background in field service or application roles within a chromatography instrumentation company.
– Willingness to travel as and when required.
– Ideally, a Chemistry qualification at the degree level, demonstrating your deep knowledge of the subject.
– A history of working with liquid chromatography instrumentation and mastering its service and maintenance.
– Laboratory experience and an acute awareness of health and safety within this environment.
– A proven ability to develop basic flash and HPLC chromatography methods, showcasing your analytical prowess.
– Superb communication skills to effortlessly connect with colleagues and customers.
– A highly organised nature, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
– A background in scientific instrumentation and the confidence to address groups with authority.
