Role Overview

As part of this launch, the company is expanding its UK team and hiring experienced Key Account Managers (KAMs) to cover North England and Scotland. This is a rare opportunity to play a leading role in shaping access and uptake for a first-in-class treatment in secondary care.

Our client is one of the leading healthcare companies in the UK, supplying a wide range of products into pharmacies. They are dedicated to building strong relationships and delivering exceptional support to their customers through expert education and service. They are preparing to launch a new ophthalmology treatment in the UK. This is a landmark product introduction in retinal disease, backed by significant investment and a long-term commitment to the ophthalmology space.

Role Requirements

Lead the introduction of a new ophthalmology therapy in your territory.
Build and execute account plans across hospitals, NHS Trusts, and clinical networks.
Engage and support KOLs through education, clinical discussion, and conference participation.
Secure formulary and reimbursement access pathways in secondary care.
Provide feedback on customer needs, competitive activity, and market dynamics.
Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues.
Ensure compliance with ABPI Code of Practice and company policies.

Person Specifications

Proven Key Account Management / Hospital Sales experience in UK pharma.
Background in ophthalmology (ideally AMD/retina).
ABPI qualified.
Strong secondary care stakeholder engagement and access track record.
Well-connected within the ophthalmology community.
