Sales Executive
Role Overview
To achieve or exceed sales quota and objectives for our analytical instruments including XRF, OES, LIBS and Thermal Analysis to both industrial and academic customers. Ensure profitability and customer satisfaction. This role involves mostly new business and some established business, covering the whole of the UK and Ireland (once every few months to Ireland) with 2-3 days a week of travel.

Role Requirements
– Promote and demonstrate our full portfolio of analytical instruments and services within your assigned territory / customer base.
– Maintain contact with existing customers to promote new products, close deals, and grow sales, as well as developing new prospects.
– Ensure excellent knowledge of the market, including trends and competitor activity.
– Maintain a deep understanding of our products and provide advice to our customers on how to fully capitalize on their investment.
– Develop a strong working knowledge of current and potential activities that may affect revenues. These include market dynamics, end user needs, new initiatives and identifying new streams for our product ranges.
– Play an active role within the EMEA Sales team, to share leads, develop opportunities, contribute to team spirit, teamwork and improve account penetration.
– Attend sales meeting, conferences, exhibitions, training and refresher courses as required.
– Keep up to date with technological advances within the high-tech analytical field.
– Maintain close and collaborative working relationships with key internal stakeholders such as Marketing, Service, Product Management and Applications Support.
Person Specifications
Essential Skills and Experience:
– A degree or equivalent in Chemistry, Physics, Material science, Engineering or science related field
– Previous experience in instrumentation sales is advantageous
– B2B sales experience would be advantageous.
– Excellent communication and negotiation skills
– Ability to identify, share and exploit business opportunities to increase sales and profitability

– Willing to travel extensively within the UK.
