Sales Specialist
Role Overview
You will manage sales across the East Coast US territory, promoting a full portfolio of genomics and synthetic biology products and services to academic, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology clients.
Company Information
Zenopa have partnered with a company specializing in genomics and protein engineering research tools and services. They offer customizable products such as targeted next-generation sequencing kits, cell-free protein expression kits, and cytogenetics in situ hybridization probes. Their services include sequencing and bioinformatics, supporting applications across agrigenomics, environmental DNA, evolutionary biology, forensics, human health, and synthetic biology.
Role Requirements
Respond to inbound sales inquiries and qualify opportunities by developing relationships and expanding networks.
Maintain an active pipeline in the CRM system, recording relevant activities and planning the path to closure.
Prospect for new business through trade show attendance, field travel, and online networking.
Develop a territory plan in consultation with the Sales Director to meet and exceed sales objectives.
Participate in training and process improvement initiatives.
Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues to enhance team performance.
Person Specifications
A life sciences degree; a master’s is preferred.
Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, Teams, and other common software platforms.
Experience with next-generation sequencing workflows; lab experience is preferred.
Sales experience in the life sciences market, preferably with reagents and academic accounts.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
