The company serves a diverse clientele, including hospitals, public health laboratories, food testing organisations, pharmaceutical companies, and research institutions.

Throughout its history, our client has been at the forefront of introducing groundbreaking technologies, such as introducing spiral plating to the UK and developing the world’s first variable atmosphere workstation for microbiologists.

Role Requirements

– Providing UKAS temperature calibration and validation to DWS customers across a range of temperature-controlled products such as autoclaves, incubators and freezers, media preparators.
– Travelling to customer sites across the UK. The main sites and areas of work are Cambridge, Bristol and Kent with other sites across the Midlands and the South of England.
– Collaborating with a team of 14 Engineers to deliver exceptional customer support
– Manage the preparation, organisation, and filing of critical paperwork associated with UKAS-accredited engineering projects.
– Develop your wider skillset working closely within the design, manufacturing and R&D teams.

Person Specifications

– Previous experience as UKAS calibration engineer is desirable.
– Excellent communication skills.
– Clean Driving Licence and willingness to travel/stay away from home up to 3 nights away a week.
– Ability to work independently.
– Strong problem-solving knowledge.
– Passport holder as some international travel for training will be required.
– Basic IT skills.
– Ability to perform maintenance and repairs is desirable

Package

– Salary ranging between £38,000 and £45,000 (Dependant on experience)
– Company van including fuel allowance (Caddy Maxi)
– 24 days annual leave + bank holidays + birthday leave + extra day for every 5 year served.
– Access to company pension scheme + Extra 0.5% every 5 years you are with the company
– Access to Sovereign health scheme.
– Bonus scheme 1% on leads
– Bonus scheme for UKAS – Unknown – up to 5k potentially
– Social events – A meal every quarter, Drinks every month, Christmas party, Charity Events etc
– On call rota – 1 i n every 8 weeks
– Overtime – 1.5x on weekends
