National Sales Manager
Role Overview
This strategic leadership role is responsible for driving commercial performance, developing a high-performing field sales and technical team, and strengthening partnerships with veterinary practices, wholesalers, and key industry stakeholders.
Reporting to the Sales Director, you will play a central role in shaping national sales strategy, supporting the successful adoption of the portfolio, and delivering sustainable growth across the equine and livestock sectors.

Role Requirements
Develop and implement national sales strategies that support wider commercial objectives and drive sustainable growth across the Large Animal & Equine portfolio.
Lead, coach, and develop Territory Managers and Field Veterinary Advisers, building a high-performing team focused on customer engagement and commercial success.
Drive market penetration, customer retention, and profitability through effective sales planning, promotional activity, and territory execution.
Build and maintain strong relationships with veterinary groups, wholesalers, and strategic trade partners, supporting long-term account growth and collaboration.
Negotiate and manage key commercial agreements while working closely with Key Account Management teams to maximise business opportunities.
Monitor sales performance, budgets, market trends, and customer insights to inform strategic decisions and ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
Person Specifications
Applications are welcomed from experienced veterinary or animal health sales professionals with proven leadership capability and strong commercial acumen.
Significant experience within the veterinary or animal health industry.
Previous success in a senior field sales or regional management role.
Strong understanding of the equine and livestock markets.
Demonstrated experience managing high-performing sales teams.
Excellent coaching, mentoring, and leadership skills.
Key account management and contract negotiation experience.
Strong analytical and strategic planning capability.
Experience using CRM systems and sales performance reporting tools.
Degree or science-based qualification preferred.
Full UK driving licence.
