Equine Tech Advisor
Role Overview
To represent the brand as a nutritionist and leader, contributing internally and externally to the elevation of the brand’s profile through the provision of exemplary service and support within the breeding and racing sectors

Our client has been manufacturing industry leading horse feed for over 80 years. In 2020, the brand merged with a well known Animal feed supplier and moved its manufacturing facilities to their new home in Cheshire where they continue to create high quality and innovative products
Role Requirements
Main Duties
· Key racing and breeding account management
· Support of the sales team in new business acquisitions, providing technical and product leadership in conversations
· Representation of the brand as a racing and breeding leader at selected industry events
· Preparation of internal and external training resources specific to racing and breeding nutrition
· Regular market analysis of the racing and breeding sectors so as to contribute to conversations on product development, marketing messaging, and sales targets
· Staying current on research within the breeding and racing sectors related to equine health, raw materials and product developments through the attendance of relevant events and the review of pertinent publications
· To be the main point of contact for escalated feeding and nutrition queries from customers and colleagues related to breeding and racing nutrition
· On time project delivery and accurate and timely recording of customer interactions
· Represent D&H and provide nutritional advice on show stands and at open days as required
· Log and manage reported non-conformances stemming directly from individual customers through our internal non-conformance system
· Maintain D&H and Market product information databases as assigned
· Input into product development, putting forward the end-user’s point of view from information gathered through customer interactions in the racing and breeding sectors
· Undertake training to meet the continued needs of the role and the business
· Attend briefings and meetings as required

· Market share growth within the racing and breeding sectors
· Activation of respective parts of the annual technical plan
· Completion of tasks in a timely manner
· Customer satisfaction feedback/ratings

Person Specifications
Job Holder Profile
· Qualifications:
o MSc in nutrition or a veterinary degree
· Experience Required:
o 3+ years’ experience working as a nutritionist or in a closely related scientific services role requiring customer consultation
o A strong understanding of equine physiology, nutrition, and raw materials
o A good understanding of forage and agronomy would be beneficial
o Knowledge of equine feed and supplement products and brands
o Knowledge of sales and marketing business functions
