Exports Business Development Manager
Role Overview
You will be responsible for delivering short-, medium- and long-term commercial objectives across designated international accounts. The role focuses on developing strategic account plans, driving sales and margin growth, and positioning the business as a preferred long-term partner within the global veterinary pharmaceutical market.
You will work closely with senior internal stakeholders and international customers, contributing to future-focused initiatives including pipeline development, new product launches and expansion opportunities. The role reports directly into senior export leadership and requires a proactive, strategic and partnership-led approach.

Role Requirements
Develop sales proposals, product launch strategies and commercial initiatives aligned with customer needs and pipeline priorities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and opinion leaders, navigating complex global account structures to maximise commercial opportunities.
Create and execute detailed Key Account Business Plans, managing performance against targets and providing regular commercial updates to senior leadership.
Lead CRM and Salesforce management, contribute to pricing strategy, and monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform commercial decisions.
Support contract development across own-label and development opportunities while delivering technical training, CPD sessions and launch support.
Coordinate promotional activity and work cross-functionally to ensure effective delivery of operational plans, including international travel for customer engagement.
Person Specifications
Candidates must have experience as a Business Development Manager within the veterinary pharmaceuticals sector, operating on a regional or international basis.
Proven strategic key account management experience, strong commercial judgement and advanced negotiation skills are essential.
A qualification in Veterinary or Agricultural Science is preferred, along with familiarity with global veterinary distributors and regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical capability, excellent organisation and planning skills, and the ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider export team.
Experience using Salesforce is advantageous but not essential.
A proactive, self-starting approach and willingness to travel internationally are required.
